We usually keep things cheeky around here, but today we wanted to share a quick behind-the-scenes update.
As some of you might’ve heard, international tariffs are making things... complicated.
Here’s why international trade is so important to our business:
🍃 We source our all-natural latex foam from rubber tree farms in Thailand—the best place on Earth for soft, sustainable, high-quality natural latex.
Ever try growing a rubber tree in the North American climate? Let's just say there's a reason why we don't make our own 😅
🏭 We ship the latex to China, where our founder Jia (born in China, moved to USA at 5yo) works with just one trusted factory. He knows how to get the highest quality craftsmanship at the best price.
A batch of 1000 pillows takes around 2.5 months to mix, mold, dry and stitch on the inner cover by hand and quality check. If we did that in the US, our pillows would be $400+ each. This is why there are no natural latex manufacturing plants in the USA. And natural latex foam IS the perfect material for a butt shaped pillow.
There are reasons why international trade is important to our small business. Just like there are very real reasons why it's important to many businesses across our country. And why tariffs hurt us. The American dreamers, the innovators of the world, the tax paying small businesses.
We will always do what is right and do what it takes. We will always work hard, smart and do everything we can to keep our prices low, quality high and our customers happier, more comfortable and better rested.
We just wanted to share our POV! If the world keeps spinning, so will butts.
